This is relativity simple but im going to go very in depth. To make it clear on what to do.
Keep in mind Do all these steps on both sides if you want it to stay working
Tools: Small Flat Head
Philips
Sand Paper
14 gauge wire
==Step 1: Remove all 7 Screws from the black cover seen here. and be sure to pull the plug off the trunk light==

Yea i know i need to clean out my trunk.. its my daily so i live in it

==Step 2: Remove the light fixture on both sides by pulling on the little tab on the inside, and pulling towards the front and the outside.==

==Step 3:Remove the plug from the Fixture but using the small flat head and prying them away from the plug(be careful dont force it it should be easy to pull off)==
==Step 4:Open the plug by pressing on the sides and lifting the back. Now that the plug is open pull one of the wires out but putting the small flat head in the top and prying it out...there's a little tab there you need to press to get it to come out.(ONLY DO ONE AT A TIME so you dont mix up where they go)==

==Step 5: Use some sand paper to clean up the wire connector to ensure good conduction==.

==Step 6: Take the small flat head and stick in the wire's connector and bend it towards the center using a twisting motion like your screwing something in. Your trying to make the connector hold tight to the Fixture==

==Step 7: Take a little electrical tape and make a shim by folding it so only the sticky side is out.. adding the shim keeps the wires in place in case you broke some of your tabs. then close the plug up and set it aside.==

==Step 8: Clean the fixture plug nipples and light sockets==

you can see that i added flux too the nipples that part applies for the optional part of this How Too
==Step 9:
Add a nice piece of 14 gauge wire to the brown wire in the plug. Then ground that wire. this prevents future melting of the plug or bulb holder which has been known to happen due to the amount of voltage and very small ground for all those watts!
Thanks for reading and good luck let me know if anything is confusing or needs more explanation
